Larry Pile, known as the Kessler Craftsman, is based in Dallas, Texas in the Kessler Park historical neighborhood, adjacent to the famous Bishop Arts District.

Since boyhood, Larry has been interested in the expressive arts in multiple different media. Rooted in classical technique, where such technique exists, he utilizes traditional concepts and materials, melding them with modern and innovative materials and techniques to create fresh, invigorating, and often colorful, work.

He is particularly drawn to natural forms and deep evocative textures, whether he is creating in Glass, sterling silver or wood.  Always evolving and innovating, Larry combines elements, materials and techniques from a variety of creative/artistic areas.

Larry participates in a large number of art-related gallery and outdoor art shows, has commissioned work in a large number of national and international collections and teaches art glass and jewelry both in his Kessler Park Studio, as well as at other art and glass education organizations.  See his schedule for class information.

The artist was born in Boulder, Co, grew up in Las Vegas, New Mexico and has resided in Dallas, Tx since the late 60s. Hes a talented artist, a gifted teacher and a heck of a nice guy to boot!
