David Jessup is a
self taught artist
/ musician who moved to Dallas in 1995 with his band and continued
playing original music over the next ten years,n until two neck
operations forced him to retire from the music scene. David's art is
heavily influenced by the Brothers Quay, Bolex Brothers, and
Adam Jones.
Children of Dave is a collection
of toys that he has assembled using discarded action figures, animal
skulls, epoxy resin, and
acrylic paint. When David begins the process of making one of his
children he has no vision or plan of what they will become. He simply
lets the process take over and the end result is something completely
unique and original. |
