I am a completely self-taught
artist living in Dallas, Texas, born in 1943 and raised in
Wisconsin, Mexico and Texas.
My main area of study has been
the masters from Chinese and Japanese painting through the German
Expressionists. I have been working at art since 1960, mostly with
oil and acrylic painting and more recently with various print
mediums.
Showing my work only through a
few local shows and private sales, I have always engaged in the
creative act more for personal necessity and satisfaction than
from a desire for wider recognition and commercial success.
A life-long delight in and
observation of nature has always been my basic inspiration,
although most of my work is created entirely from imagination.
