Born in Wyoming, raised in
California, I settled in Dallas in the 70’s. After first exhibiting my
original designs on works of fabric at art shows and festivals in Texas,
I began painting abstract native art which was sold at private viewings.
Finding another facet of abstracts which I call Colorfalls, I began a
new body of contemporary abstract contemporary work.
My paintings are visuals of the emotions which drive me to paint in the
first place. I paint what I feel, not what I see. Painting with acrylics
allows me to have density of different levels and a freer flow and
movement to the canvas. Music plays a large part in the overall drive of
each painting. I often wonder what would happen to all the energy,
positive and negative, that goes into my designs and paintings if they
did not end up on a canvas.
I paint
what I feel, not what I see. It is a wonderful therapy for my heart and
soul.
